3rd May – a chuffin good Metro rail ale trip to Bury from Manchester.

Assisted by Anytime Tone, Nails put this one together

First call was the Trackside Pub on Platform 2 in Bolton Street. The Odin ale proved to be a favourite, both here and elsewhere throughout the day.

The Clarence, complete with it’s own microbrewery, was next followed by a visit to Bury Marjet for a meat bap (some opting for the black pudding option) before the Art Picture House (wethers), a former 1920’s cinema.

Back on the metro we travelled back to Prestwich and the Church Inn although it somehow lacked the atmosphere of the earlier visited pubs.

Akbars in Manchester completed the days event before returning by train at various times from around 8.15pm.
